INFORMATION ABOUT THE WAITLIST
What is a waitlist?
The waitlist is a way to prioritize the enrollment of students
wishing to enroll in a class after that class is full (closed)
prior to the first class meeting. There is
no guarantee that you will get a place in a class
if you are on the waitlist. Not every class has a waitlist.
How do I get on a waitlist?
When you seek a class in WebAdvisor and the class
is full you will be asked if you want to add your name to
the waitlist. You must have met all prerequisites for that class
before you can be placed on the waitlist. If the waitlist is full,
you must look for a different section of that class or go to the
first class meeting and obtain a Late Add Code.
Do I have to pay for the class when I put my name on the waitlist?
You do not have to pay for the class until you have officially enrolled.
Reasons why you would not be placed on a waitlist.
· You owe a debt to CCC.
· You have been dismissed from CCC.
· Your assigned registration appointment date and time are in the future.
· You have not met a prerequisite requirement for the course.
· You have already taken the course the maximum allowable number of
times allowed.
· You have already enrolled in another section of that course.
How do I get registered in a course from the waitlist?
• When you are the first name on the waitlist and a space becomes available
in that class YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL AT YOUR INSIGHT MAIL
ADDRESS. Once this email is sent you will have 5 CALENDAR DAYS in which to
register. If you do not register within this period you will be dropped entirely
from the waitlist and the spot will be offered to the next person on the
waitlist.
Is there another way to monitor the waitlist?
You can check your waitlist status via WebAdvisor on the "Manage Your
Waitlist" screen.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING YOUR EMAIL
AND/OR WEBADVISOR TO KNOW WHETHER PERMISSION
HAS BEEN GRANTED FOR YOU TO REGISTER FOR ANY
WAITLISTED CLASS.
