Independent Study Courses

     Independent Study courses are an option in many  

     departments for students whose interest in a particular

     area extend beyond regular course offerings. They

     are developed in consultation between a student and an 

     instructor, and require the approval of the appropriate  

     department chair, division dean, and the College VP of 

     Instruction or designee. 

     On approval of the study plan, the course will be assigned

     the number 298. This number indicates the course is 

     designed to satisfy AA/AS degree requirements and may

     also transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
