BRIDGES TO THE FUTURE
Bridges to the Future is a fun and exciting summer program at Contra Costa College designed to allow high school students to experience college and campus life. In the Bridges program, tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders will mingle with college students, take college classes, explore careers, education and study skills. The experience will be customized for each student so that they can get the most out of their college experience.
Students have the opportunity to attend fun and enrichment workshops and activities and participate in field trips designed to relate to classroom and workshop instruction and make learning fun and interactive. All this is absolutely free of charge and provided at no cost to the student. Students will receive free tuition, books and all program materials.
What else should I know?
The Bridges to the Future program will begin Summer Session 2009. The 130 students accepted into the Bridges to the Future Program will receive a letter of invitation to attend the orientation meeting for this fun and exciting summer college exploration program. These students will be given appointments for assessments, so that they can be placed in the appropriate class or classes. All programs and activities will be explained during the mandatory orientation.
