Academic Workshops / Study SessionsCSE program provides study sessions in science and math. The study sessions are led by faculty teaching the subject and use the hands on techniques to help students better understand materials covered in class, improve problem-solving skills and prepare for quizzes/tests.
Tutoring
CSE students are required to spend two hours per week tutoring other students in science and/or math. Students can select the subject area and level of difficulty to tutor. Tutoring is done in the Physical Science building, room PS-109. Tutoring activities help students understand their subjects better, as well as improve communication skills. For additional CCC tutoring information, please contact Jason Berner, Director of Campus-Wide Tutoring.
Seminars
CSE director and mentors invite professionals from various fields to share their academic and research experience with CSE students. The talks are held on Friday afternoons at 2 pm in Physical Science building room 132 (PS 132). Seminars are usually concluded with refreshment in PS 109 to facilitate social interaction between speaker and students.
