The Contra Costa College basketball program has a proud history of success in the Bay Valley Conference. The BVC turns out numerous student athletes who transfer to four-year institutions at the Division I, II and III levels.

Coach Johnson

Miguel Johnson,
Head Coach

 
Miguel Johnson was born in Oakland, Ca. Miguel attended high school at Richmond High, where he was on Varsity for three years, Captain of the team for a year, leading scorer for two years, scoring over 1,000 points. He also attended Contra Costa College where he earned his A.A. degree, Eastern Washington University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and John F. Kennedy where he earned his M.A. degree.


Miguel coached at Solano Middle School for two years, Greater Vallejo Recreation District for two years, and Jesse Bethel High School for two years.

His college coaching experience includes six years at Contra Costa College, two years at Merritt College, and two years at Solano College.
