Contra Costa College's Speech & Debate Team, under the direction of Dr. Connie Anderson, is one of the most successful college teams in the state.   The team regularly competes against CSU, UC, and other community college teams, and repeatedly finishes in the top spots.   Here they are shown with trophies from tournaments at Fresno and Santa Rosa.

 

FALL 2009 AWARDS
Contra Costa College Speech & Debate Team attended the UC Berkeley Tournament fall 2009.
This was an advanced only tournament and CCC brought three of its top competitors.  The CCC team beat out schools such as UC Berkeley, University of the Pacific, San Francisco State University, and the University of Oregon. CCC has been enjoying one of it's most successful semesters this fall.

Gold Dramatic Interpretation -- Mahak Hassan
Finalist After Dinner Speaking -- Frank Grimsley
